We Need To Fix This
Dear: Susan Davis,
I am Daniel Riley, I'm in sixth Grade and go to High-Tech Middle Media Arts. I know and appreciate that you are on the board of education and I appreciate that you support the military. I think there are more important issues, like switching to renewable energy. One thing that lots of people don't understand is that you don't need to completely change your lifestyle but only change a few little things at a time. If all America switched to more efficient light bulbs we would be able to power the entire U.S. for a year and a half. You don't need much money you just start small and help every way you can. I am typing this entire letter without any lights on because this is an important issue to me and it is something I really care about. Most of the projects we have done this year have been all about the environment, even our art projects. In one of our projects we tested the air to see howbad it really was and I was scared that I was breathing these things in every day, the next time you are in your car driving on the freeway look at the trucks, you can literally see how much pollution they put into the air.
If we used renewable energy we would be putting more money back into the economy because modern energy has free fuel such as, geothermal energy, hydro-electric energy and, wind energy. These are all renewable energy sources that are free for us to use. If we did this it would give our economy the boost it needs to get back on its feet. Just because GEORGE w. Bush didn't sign the Kyoto Protocol doesn't mean we can't still meat it's protocol. We can't just sit here watching the economy and environment go into the ground I won't let that happen.
If you really care you will bring this up in congress and we can start to make a change.
Sincerely, Daniel Riley
